[How To] Install Windows 8.1 Preview without MS account

As we all know, well at least most of us techies know that Microsoft has released Windows 8.1 Pro Preview  ISO for general public. Please note that this release should only be installed on a virtual machine or if you're a advanced user you can install it on your real machine (Make sure you backup your important files before installing it though). Installation of Windows 8.1 Preview needs a Microsoft account and an active internet connection at the very beginning of the setup or it won't allow you to install it. Well there is a workaround for this which I found while browsing through youtube videos, this workaround allows you to create a local account just like we did on windows 8.

Suggestion: Please do not upgrade your existing windows 8 with 8.1. It has now been known that upgrade screws up windows 8.1 with apps and OS crashing randomly. To be on a safer side download and burn ISO from the net or from our hub and do a clean install.

Option 1

Option 2

Windows 8.1 Preview release is free to use version and is valid till Jan 2014. Give it a spin if you want to see the latest features added to Windows 8.1 or you can wait until Microsoft releases a more stable version.

Enjoy.

Story of Magnet Link.

Do you know we can link our files shared on DC anywhere on web. This is only possible through Magnet Links. In our DC client, to index each file it uses hash codes. It is similar to Google search. When we search on Google, we are not searching the whole web. Instead of that we only search Google's Index of the web. Same method is used to search in DC. Therefore you get results within seconds.

WHAT ARE MAGNET LINKS.

A magnet link is an open URI-scheme and supporting practices/code for enabling seamless integration between websites and locally-running utilities, such as file management tools or peer-to-peer clients.
In simple words, it is address of your file.Whenever you update your DC folder, your client hashes that file and include in their index.

Getting Speed less than 100 KBPS? Here is the Solution.

Friends are you getting speed less than 100 KBPS even after the correct settings? So you must read this once. Many people have this common problem that they get lowest speed in the DC where we suppose to get the LAN speed that is in Mega Bytes per second (MBPS). Normal HomeNet DC speed is 2 to 7 MBPS. So you must get it right.

Don't take tension. There is a solution for this. You just have to tweak some net settings and you are done. Very simple. Just follow the steps below and get the maximum speed.
